The state recorded the highest number of 374 positive cases of corona in a single day in the last 24 hours and the highest number of 28 patients died and 146 patients recovered. Thus the total death toll in the state has reached 290 and a total of 5,428 patients have been registered. As well as 1042 patients have recovered. Earlier, 367 positive cases were reported on April 19, 308 on April 29, 313 on April 30, 326 on May 1 and 333 on May 2. For the fifth day in a row, more than 300 positive cases have been reported.
In Mehsana, 21 cases were reported simultaneously, with 146 patients recovering
Giving an update on corona cases in the state, Jayanthi Ravi, frontline health secretary, said 374 new cases have been reported in the state in the last 24 hours. If you look at the breakup, 274 cases have been reported in Ahmedabad, 25 in Vadodara, 25 in Surat, 21 in Mehsana, 10 in Mahisagar, 7 in Banaskantha, 3 in Gandhinagar, 3 in Botad and 3 in Devbhoomi Dwarka and 1-1 in Patan, Dahod, Aravalli. While 23 patients died in Ahmedabad, 2 in Surat, 1 in Vadodara, Gandhinagar and Anand, 28 patients died. Of these 26 deaths, 4 patients died due to corona and 22 died due to other diseases, high risk and corona. As many as 146 patients have recovered today. Out of a total of 5428 patients, 31 are on ventilator and 4065 are in stable condition and 1042 have recovered and returned home so far 290 patients have died. Dr. Shashank Pandya, Director, Gujarat Cancer Research Institute (GCRI) has been suspended for not arranging a bed for a coronary member of staff . More than eight members of the staff have suspended Shashank Pandya for not providing him with medicines or beds despite Koro’s being positive.
Pan-Mawa shop not to open in Orange, Green or Red Zone: CM’s Secretary
Elaborating on the decision taken at a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, Chief Minister’s Secretary Ashwini Kumar said shops selling pan, gutkha, BD-cigarettes and liquor shops across the state could not be opened for another two weeks. Following this decision, no concessions will be given in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot and Surat. The lockdown will be strictly enforced even though Rajkot is in the Orange Zone. Must stay at home from 7pm to 7am in each zone.
Haircutting salons, beauty parlors, tea stalls can be kept open in Orange and Green zones.
Under the decision, haircutting salons, beauty parlors and tea-coffee shops-tea stalls will be open in the Orange and Green Zone declared areas. Cab and taxi services in the Orange and Green Zone areas can be turned on with the driver plus two passengers. ST buses
will be able to run with a maximum of 50 passengers in the declared green zone areas and inter-district and district internal bus services will be started in the green zone areas.
No concessions of any kind in these 6 municipal areas
While in the municipal areas of the state Botad, Bopal, Khambhat, Bareja, Godhra, Umreth, no additional concessions have been given in these 6 municipalities.

Most roads to the capital are closed
Ahmedabad has been alerted by the police for fear of spreading the infection in Gandhinagar. As a result, most of the roads leading to Gandhinagar have been closed. Only Vaishnodevi Circle and Apollo Circle are allowed to go to Gandhinagar. Check posting has been started on all entries. Registration is being done at this check post along with the names of the drivers, mobile numbers and reasons for entry. With IAS officers and politicians living in Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad is worried about the spread of the infection in Gandhinagar.
The number of corona patients increased by 33 in 3 days in the capital
Due to Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar also now becomes the hotspot of Corona. With the Ahmedabad connection day by day, the number of Koro positive patients in Gandhinagar city and district is increasing alarmingly. In the last three days alone, 4 positive patients have been registered. All these patients are coming from Ahmedabad. Out of which 18 more cases came up yesterday. This brings the number of positive patients to 70.
Instructions to employees coming from Hotspot, Containment-Red Zone not to come to Gandhinagar
Earlier, the General Administration Department had instructed employees from hotspots, containment areas and red zones not to come to Gandhinagar. As a result, the employees coming from Ahmedabad city, which has become the hotspot of Corona, have got relief. The decision has been taken to prevent the spread of corona in the government department. The general administration department has also issued an order in this regard.
