2. BPL Certificate - (D) Monthly Assistance: Rs.750/- for 60 to 79 age group and Rs. 1000/- for more than 80 yearswhich also includes Rs. 500/- by State Government
- (E) Mode of assistance : Bymoneyorder. Option to get finanicial assistance through Post Account or Bank Acccount pension by D.B.T. credit.
The National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) was launched by the Indian government on August 15, 1995. It is a fully funded Centrally Sponsored Scheme that aims to provide a basic level of financial aid to the destitute, who are defined as individuals who have little or no regular means of subsistence from their own source of income or through financial support from family members or other sources, to be identified by the States and UTs. The Ministry of Rural Development oversees the administration of the NSAP. This program is being carried out in both urban and rural areas.
