The Gujarat state government has taken decisions affecting thousands of primary teachers and teaching assistants in the state by changing the transfer rules. According to the new rule, classes 1 to 5 (primary education) and classes 6 to 8 (upper primary education) will now be treated as separate units. The teacher or teacher assistant working in these units will also have to be transferred separately.
How to fill online transfer form? |
- Teachers have to visit the official website i.e. dpegujarat.in
- Select the district was your job.
- Fill the required information in the application form.
- Upload photo and sign.
- Select the school using enrollment number and date of birth.
- Confirm the application and save the registration number and date of birth.
- Take a printout and submit the application form to the TPEO office.

The Education Department of the Government of Gujarat has announced the new transfer rules for primary teachers, teaching assistants and upper primary teachers of government corporation schools in the state. In the new rules, the government has changed many provisions in the wake of the High Court judgment and the new Gujarat Primary Teacher Transfer Rules 2023 in which the age limit of 55 years has been increased to 56 years in district transfers.
