Salary / Pay Scale

The posts are of Group ‘B’ (Non-Gazetted), NonMinisterial in Level-6 (Rs 35400-112400/-) of the pay matrix of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

Age Limit

Scheme of Examination of SSC JE 2024

The SSC JE 2024 Recruitment Scheme of Examination unfolds in two papers, both conducted in a computer-based mode.

Paper I: This initial stage consists of three sections:

• General Intelligence and Reasoning (50 questions, 50 marks)
• General Awareness (50 questions, 50 marks)
• General Engineering (Civil & Structural/Electrical/Mechanical) (100 questions, 100 marks) Candidates are granted a duration of 2 hours for completion, extending to 2 hours and 40 minutes for those necessitating a scribe.

Paper II: The second phase, similar to Paper-I, is also a computer-based examination. Candidates attempt the chosen General Engineering section based on their educational qualifications, with 100 questions carrying 300 marks. The duration remains consistent with Paper-I.

Candidates must select their General Engineering section in both papers according to their educational background, failing which their candidature will be rejected. Both papers consist of objective-type, multiple-choice questions available in Hindi and English.
